The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering was established in the year 2002 with the aim of providing under graduate programme .The department started Post Graduate program M.E in VLSI Design in the year 2012.The Department of ECE has emerged as a leading department with excellent laboratory facilities and well qualified and experienced staff members. The staff members not only impart their wealth of knowledge to the students but also attend to the individualistic requirements of the students. The department is supported with well equipped multidisciplinary laboratories. The department offers high quality learning modules that encompass different areas such as communication, computer, Electronics, Microcontrollers, Integrated circuits, Digital Signal Processing and Image Processing. The department also has audio visual facilities such as over head projectors and multimedia projectors which help the faculty to implement new teaching methodologies . As a part of curriculum, Industrial visits are arranged for B.E students. Many of our UG and PG students have secured university ranks and many of our students are placed in multi-national companies. The students are encouraged to deliver seminars, publish papers in both National/International conferences in the latest topics, and thus promoting technical and communication skills.

To become a world class renowned department where dissemination and application of knowledge in design and analysis of electronic circuits in the field of communication is delivered and to synergistically balanced through relentless pursuit of student success towards the economic prosperity of the society and the world at large.

Mission

To accomplish Program Objectives through Technical expertise. To inculcate Engineering concepts with hands on experience to meet the Industrial expectations. To nurture ethical professional qualities among the budding engineers. To provide quality education through effective teaching learning process for their future career, via placement and higher education. To expose strong insight in the core domains with industry interaction.

The Graduates will be able to:

  • Engineering knowledge : Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals, and an engineering specialization to the solution of complex engineering problems.
  • Problem analysis : Identify, formulate, review research literature, and analyze complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using the first principles of mathematics, natural sciences, and engineering sciences.
  • Design/development of solutions : Design solutions for complex engineering problems and design system components or processes that meet the specified needs with appropriate consideration for the public health and safety, and the cultural, societal, and environmental considerations.
  • Ethics : Apply ethical principles and be committed to professional ethics and responsibilities and norms of engineering practice.
  • Individual and team work : Function effectively as an individual, and as a member or leader in diverse teams, and in multidisciplinary settings.
  • Communication : Communicate effectively on complex engineering activities with the engineering community and with society at large, such as, being able to comprehend and write effective reports and design documentation, make effective presentations, and give and receive clear instructions.
  • Project management and finance : Demonstrate the knowledge and understanding of the engineering and management principles and apply these to one’s own work, as a member and leader in a team, to manage projects and in multidisciplinary environments.
  • Life-long learning : Recognize the need for, and have the preparation and ability to engage in independent and life-long learning in the broadest context of technological change.
